Muck Pit is Captain Morgan’s dive into the deep, funky heart of rum-making—where the richest, boldest flavors are born in the legendary “muck pits.” A new-to-world brand with roots in old-world technique, it bottles the wild alchemy of fermentation in a way only Captain Morgan can: unapologetically bold, a little unruly, and impossible to ignore. With a name that’s as gritty as its heritage and branding that wears its swagger on its sleeve, Muck Pit invites drinkers to taste the delicious chaos behind true rum character.
A color sketch round was the first work shared with the client and despite multiple rounds exploring how literal the ‘muck pit’ was depicted, the final product felt
close-in to many of the original ideas
and designs.
